FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - The battle over the Kentucky pension lawsuit has moved to the next level, our sister station WKYT reports.
Making its way through Franklin County Circuit Clerk, many expect the lawsuit to reach the Kentucky Supreme Court.
Monday, Attorney General Andy Beshear held a meeting with his clients. They worry the bill would have a negative impact on Kentucky.
"I think it's very important, not just for retirees because it doesn't really affect us retirees, but it really impacts future state and teacher employees," said Doug Price, a Department of Parks Retirees.
Beshear expects Governor Matt Bevin's team to appeal the lawsuit. If Bevin's team does so, Beshear says he will ask for an expedited schedule.
