911 audio from Rand Paul attack released

The audio of the 9-1-1 call made after Rand Paul’s neighbor, Rene Boucher, allegedly attacked him, was released Monday.
In the call, Sen. Paul can be heard laboriously breathing, saying he had been attacked by a neighbor and requesting police presence.
Boucher signed a plea agreement last week, but no date has been set for the taking of his guilty plea and sentencing.
Boucher has been charged with assaulting a member of congress resulting in personal injury, a felony under federal law.
“Assaulting a member of Congress is an offense we take very seriously,” said United States Attorney Josh Minkler. “Those who choose to commit such an act will be held accountable.”
On November 3, Sen. Paul was mowing his yard while wearing headphones. Boucher allegedly tackled Paul, causing multiple fractured ribs and subsequently contracted and required medical attention for pneumonia.
Boucher admitted the assault but denied it was politically motivated. No future court dates have been set.
