WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Six people were arrested on drug charges in three separate investigations by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit, Sheriff Rick Thompson said Friday.
All three investigations were conducted in the Lavalette area of Wayne County.
The following suspects were identified:
George “Bones” Stapleton of Huntington
Chanity Hartman of Kenova
Emelia Bishop of Kenova
Natacha Polisano of Wayne
Shirley Dempsey of Wayne
Eric Davis of Wayne
The suspects face various charges, including possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver. Deputies say methamphetamine was involved in some of the incidents.
In the case involving Hartman, deputies say a 10-year-old child was in a vehicle during a drug transaction. Hartman also faces child neglect charges.
The Kenova Police Department and U.S. Marshals CUFFED Task Force assisted in the investigations.
