The moment I came to Eastern Kentucky, it felt like home.
I was 13 when first I realized I wanted to be a reporter.
Throughout school, I always enjoyed speech, debate, and writing. By the time I went to college, there was no doubt about what I wanted to do with my life.
I grew up in North Carolina when my father was in the military. We moved back to my parent’s hometown, a small town in Missouri (smaller than Hazard), when I was 12 where I spent time on my grandparent’s farm and out at the lake. I went to college at Missouri State University (go bears!).
When I’m off, you can find me antique shopping, going for a hike, or hanging out by the water. I’m excited to check out the state parks in Kentucky.
The moment I came to Eastern Kentucky, it felt like home. It is beautiful here and I have been met with so many smiling faces. If you see me while I’m out and about don’t be afraid to say hi. I love meeting new people.
For me, the news is important because it can hold people accountable, give a voice to the voiceless, and keeps people informed. You can reach out to me at email@example.com.
