I used to have a pretend newspaper company in my grandmother's basement where I wrote my first story ever when I was eight-years-old.
I was born and raised in the small town of Wellington, Ohio and have spent my time in small towns every since. I had a passion for journalism ever since I was a little kid. I used to have a pretend newspaper company in my grandmother's basement where I wrote my first story ever when I was eight-years-old about the death of Fred Rogers (who played Mr. Rogers on Mr. Rogers neighborhood).
I continued my journalism career into high school where I spent two years working at Wellington High School's channel 88. After that I decided to make my passion my career and went to college at Ashland University (go eagles!) where I worked as a producer, anchor, and reporter at our TV station, a editor and reporter for the newspaper, and news director at the school's radio station.
I spent a summer working up at WEWS News 5 in Cleveland during the very exciting summer of 2016 where I was able to work during the Republican National Convention and the NBA Finals!
I'm very excited to be able to join this mountain family here in Hazard, Kentucky. If you ever see me around feel free to say hi and if you ever have any questions for me, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
