I grew up in Central Pennsylvania in a town called Camp Hill, just minutes away from the State Capitol, Harrisburg. I found my calling in news a little later in life.

I graduated from West Virginia University in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations. I took those skills back to Pennsylvania where I worked in a variety of roles including event coordination, marketing, corporate communications, social media analytics and some advertising.

Growing up near Hershey, I knew I needed to work in the candy business for at least a little while. It was during those years I found myself consuming news and thinking about how I would like to tell stories, highlight underappreciated communities and celebrate the people and organizations that make our hometowns, where ever they may be, great.

I went to graduate school, again at WVU, for a Master's in Journalism where I fell in love with telling stories through the TV medium. Today, I am thrilled to be in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky learning about a new place, meeting new people, sharing stories and keeping a watchful eye as a member of the fourth estate.

When I'm not working you will probably find me in the kitchen. I love to cook for friends and family. If I'm not there, and the weather is nice, I'm likely on the golf course. Otherwise, I grew up playing ice hockey and while it's a little hard to find a league here in the mountains, I'll still be watching my Washington Capitals all winter long.
