Sports Anchor/Reporter, WYMT
Growing up around the sport of racing and playing almost every other sport known to man, I knew early on I wanted to do something with sports when I grew up. Unfortunately, as the competition got bigger and faster, I quickly realized playing wasn't an option, so I instantly thought of the next best thing... talking about sports.
I'm from Brownsburg, Indiana, a small suburb just outside of Indianapolis. My house is just 10 minutes from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Racing Capital of the World, which is where I fell in love with the sport.
I went to Brownsburg High School. I was on the swim team for the Bulldogs for 5 years. In high school I was a part of our TV and Broadcasting class, making weekly videos for our football and basketball teams and broadcasting home games weekly doing play-by-play. I chased that dream all the way to Vincennes University, where I graduated in May 2015 with an associates degree in Broadcasting.
Right after graduation, I accepted a job at WTWO in Terre Haute, IN as a news reporter. After spending three years there, a special opportunity opened here in the mountains to follow my dreams of working full-time in sports.
I look forward to the opportunity to cover the great schools in Eastern Kentucky.
When I'm not covering sports in the area, I'm either at a dirt track or enjoying my favorite sports teams: the Purdue Boilermakers, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and The Pittsburgh Pirates.
If you see me out and about, feel free to come and say hello! I look forward to telling the great stories and scores that Eastern Kentucky has to offer.
