Morning Anchor/Reporter, WYMT
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where I have lived, studied and worked close by, until now. But it still feels like home.
My parents knew right away my pretend talk shows and productions they sat through would eventually become a reality. From participating in school plays to writing short stories, my love for writing and journalism grew.
I graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2010 where I received a bachelors in broadcast journalism and minor in marketing. As president of Women in Informatics, I revived the university's cable access show, Norse Access, where as the host I increased viewership by 20 percent.
Graduating early, I found myself in between jobs and became a Starbuck's barista where my love for coffee developed. Interacting with people from all different walks of life and from all across the world, I still felt empty. I wasn't fulfilling my purpose. I didn't have the means to tell these stories, stories that needed to be heard.
I then enrolled and graduated from the Ohio Media School in 2017, which led me to my job as a News Content Specialist for WXIX FOX 19 NOW. This opportunity led me to my own radio show Ministry Spotlight on WGRI Inspiration 1050 and to host the Women Behind Television & Film Festival in Cincinnati where I interviewed 18-Emmy-award-winner Laurie Quinlivan on her documentary Blue Goes Green: Net Zero Police Station.
These experiences have prepared me for the dream I am now living at WYMT. I am proud to be chosen to sit at the desk and welcomed into your community to tell your stories.
