In high school I would always rush home to watch the 4:00 news. I never knew how fascinated I was by news. During the Gatlinburg Wildfires, I was glued to my TV. I wanted to know every new development.
I started my college career at Pellissippi State Community College where I spent two years doing my basic classes before I transferred to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
During my time at UTK, I interned at WATE 6 On Your Side where I met the journalists I watched growing up. Throughout my internship, I knew news is where I wanted to be. I loved watching other reporters tell stories that truly helped people.
