My love for sports first sparked my interest for television news. I love writing in general, so news producing became a perfect fit for me.
I was born in Louisville and have called that my home for my whole life. And no, I did not grow up a Louisville fan. Kentucky athletics passed down to me from my dad. I attended the same school, Christian Academy of Louisville, from kindergarten through high school.
I played football from sixth grade to Junior year of high school. I was inducted into the Beta Club and National Honors Society. I started loving sports at an early age, but I found out real quickly I wasn't good enough to play at a high level. So, if I can't play sports, I might as well talk about them!
That brought me to Western Kentucky University. I quickly got involved with the Extra Point and even got to anchor the Homecoming Show my final semester. I also got the chance to cover the basketball and football teams for the school paper, the College Height Herald.
I worked as a production assistant at WNKY in Bowling Green before accepting a full-time position to be a news producer at WYMT. I'm so thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Mountain family!
