Jarrod Allen
Assignment Editor/Producer, WYMT
WYMT TV
Appalachia is home. I was born and raised in Southeast Ohio, not too far from Ohio University. I would later earn a degree in Communication from there.
During the historic Eastern Kentucky floods of 2022, I was producing TV news in the Huntington/Charleston market & helped to manage coverage of it there.
It proved to me how special these mountains and the people truly are.
I joined WYMT in March 2023 as the station’s assignment editor & news producer.
Feel free to email me with any news tips or story ideas at jarrod.allen@wymt.com.
