LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - The Jaguars took care of business in the First Priority Bowl, beating South Laurel 43-0.

It was light work in the first quarter for Tucker Warren, with the quarterback cruising across for a couple of scores in the first quarter.

In the second, it was all Jaguar backfield. Both Ethan Gregory and Treyshawn Holmes-Evans managed to waltz in for a couple more to put North Laurel (4-1) up 29-0 at the half.

An early touchdown in the third quarter put a running clock on the Cardinals (0-6).

With the win, North Laurel has now won 12 of the last 13 meetings between the two teams.

”I really felt like I saw growth and that’s what we’re looking for,” said North Laurel head coach Jason Chappell. “I feel like we played very physical and more efficient than we had offensively and feel like we got better on that side of the ball. Defensively, we gave up the one big play before half but I thought we really played well throughout. Really aggressive and flying around. Just really proud of our kids.”

The Jaguars will return to action next Friday against Southwestern. South Laurel will host Pulaski County that same day.
