Dr. Stack discusses recommendations for counties in the red zone on Kentucky’s COVID-19 map
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - Gov. Andy Beshear is holding his weekly Team Kentucky news conference.

The Governor will update Kentuckians on a variety of topics, including economic development, infrastructure and vaccine incentives.
During the news conference, Dr. Steven Stack, Kentucky’s Commissioner for Public Health, discussed recommendations for counties who have returned to red status on the state’s COVID-19 map.
In those recommendations, which are designed to combat the spread of the virus, especially in those who are not vaccinated, masking is encouraged. Officials are also encouraged to consider postponing large public events.
Those who are medically vulnerable are encouraged to avoid social activities with unvaccinated people.
