‘We could not be more thrilled’: 28th annual Osborne Brothers Hometown Festival returning to Hyden
LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The 28th annual Osborne Brothers Hometown Festival is coming back to Hyden this summer.
COVID-19 forced officials to hold last year’s eventual virtually, but Governor Andy Beshear’s executive order that ended all restrictions on Friday allowed them to bring it back to the Bobby Osborne Pavillion.
The festival celebrates the careers of the Osborne Brothers while giving back to volunteer fire departments in Leslie County. Festival producer Dean Osborne said that he can not contain his excitement as they prepare for August.
“I know I speak on behalf of Hyden Citizen’s Bank and the Osborne brothers festival, Bobby Osborne and Kentucky School of Bluegrass Traditional Music, the fiscal court of Leslie County and all of our other sponsors in saying that we could not be looking more forward to having everyone back with us in Hyden the fourth through the seventh,” Osborne told WYMT.
