Landslides, water rescues reported in Lee County

BEATYVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Flash flooding caused issues in Lee County Friday morning.

The National Weather Service said there was a landslide on Highway 11 between Beatyville and Booneville.

There are also reports of search and rescue crews being deployed to get people to higher ground.

KY 52 east in Lee County is closed between MM 13-17 (between Beattyville and St. Helens) due to a mudslide and numerous fallen trees.
