KSP: Stabbing investigation underway in Knox County

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky State Police (KSP) received a call of a stabbing early Wednesday morning on Spruce Pine Road in the Woolum Community of Knox County.

Troopers told WYMT two neighbors were having a verbal argument when Kenneth Johnson, 63, drove his side-by-side to the victim’s house and stabbed him while they were on the back steps before driving away.

Troopers said the victim is at UK Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

Police said Johnson is at the Knox County Detention Center and was charged with first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.

This remains under investigation by KSP.
