HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - We have one more night with freezing temperatures before we gradually start to warm up.

Tonight and Tomorrow

A Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning are in effect tonight through Friday morning as temperatures dropping near freezing. For those in the Freeze Warning, expect freezing temperatures but for those in the Frost Advisory, temperatures will be slightly above freezing. Either way, make sure to protect those plants tonight!

We’ll see a mixture of sun and clouds tomorrow. Sometimes we could see more clouds than sun. Highs will be in the lower 60s with overnight lows in the mid-40s. Clouds will for sure increase later Friday night as our next system arrives Saturday.

The Weekend

Clouds and soggy conditions return Saturday as a low-pressure system moves into the mountains. Highs will only be in the mid to upper 50s with overnight lows dropping into the mid to upper 40s.

We could see a few showers linger early on Sunday, but we should dry out and clear out. Highs are expected to get into the lower 60s with overnight lows in the lower 40s. If you are trying to pick a day to get outside this weekend, Sunday is your day!

Extended Forecast

Those warm temperatures finally return to the mountains as we head into the new week! Highs will get back into the mid-70s on Monday with mostly sunny skies.

Highs will get near 80 for both Tuesday and Wednesday! Overnight lows will only drop into the 60s!

Our next chance for rain after Saturday will be later Thursday into Friday of next week, so we’ll get a decent rain break!
