HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Freezing temperatures return tonight as those clouds clear out.

Tonight and Tomorrow

We could see some stray showers and maybe even some flurries this evening, but we really should see those clouds and showers move out. Clear skies return tonight which will allow temperatures to drop into the lower 30s. A Freeze Warning is in effect tonight through tomorrow morning, so make sure to protect those sensitive plants!

We’ll see frost tomorrow morning with temperatures getting into the lower 50s. Winds could gust up to about 15 MPH at times, so it could be a little breezy. There will be a mixture of sun and clouds throughout the day with a stray shower or two mainly in the Big Sandy Region.

Overnight lows will drop into the mid-30s. We could see frost early Friday morning so you might want to protect those plants Thursday night into Friday as well. There is a Freeze Watch in effect late Thursday night into early Friday morning.

Extended Forecast

We’ll start out with some frost Friday morning but highs will get into the lower 60s. Sunshine continues with some clouds. Overnight lows will only drop into the mid-40s as clouds increase ahead of our next system.

Soggy weather arrives by Saturday. Highs will only get into the mid to upper 50s with overnight lows dropping into the mid-40s.

We will dry out Sunday and see that sunshine return. Highs will get back into the mid-60s as well!

Those warm temperatures finally return for the new work week. Highs will get back into the mid-70s Monday and then back into the 80s by Tuesday! We will be dry for the first half of the new week too!
