HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Old Man Winter is returning tomorrow morning!

Tonight and Tomorrow

After being in the 70s today, it is hard to believe we could see some snowflakes by Wednesday morning. Clouds and showers will start to move in overnight tonight into the early morning hours on Wednesday. As this cold front approaches, temperatures will drop into the low to mid-30s by the morning hours tomorrow. With those showers moving in, some of that precipitation could turn into a wintry mix or even some snowflakes. This will all depend on the temperatures. Some of us might not get to 32°, so we might see a cold rain or sleet.

Highs on Wednesday will only get into the mid-40s. We could also see some scattered showers throughout the afternoon hours as well. It’ll be a cold day for sure! Overnight lows will drop into the lower 30s with skies clearing. A Freeze Watch is in effect starting overnight Wednesday through Thursday morning. You’ll want to protect those plants the next few nights!
