Gov. Beshear announces 229 new COVID-19 cases, one new death Wednesday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - Governor Andy Beshear gave his Wednesday COVID-19 update.

Governor Beshear announced 229 new cases of COVID-19 and one new death in Kentucky on Wednesday.

At least 14,363 Kentuckians have contracted the virus. The death toll now stands at 538.

3,706 people have recovered from the virus.

368,152 Kentuckians have been tested.

The governor announced the death was an 89-year-old Laurel County man that the Laurel County Health Department announced on Monday.
