LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - Following the ejection of Benny Snell in the first half of the Music City Bowl, University of Kentucky Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart let his opinion be known that he didn't agree with the call.
Benny’s frustration and his passion for the game are why he reacted the way he did, but he was not deserving of an ejection. It is unfortunate our fans didn’t get to see one of the best running backs in the country play against an excellent Northwestern team.— Mitch Barnhart (@UKMitchBarnhart) January 3, 2018
Now, the Herald-Leader in Lexington is reporting that Barnhart has sent an official letter to the Pac-12 Conference due to the officiating.
Three days following the game, the Courier-Journal in Louisville reported that the Pac-12 told the Courier-Journal in a statement that "The Conference has no comment and will stand by the postgame statement provided to the pool reporter."
