VIDEO: Broughton's 56 not enough as Harlan County beats North Laurel 82-78 in WYMT-Whayne Supply Mountain Classic semifinals

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - North Laurel senior and EKU signee Peyton Broughton set a Mountain Classic single-game scoring record with 56 points but Harlan County proved to be too much as the Black Bears knocked off the Jaguars 82-78 to advance to the championship game on Saturday.

Former Buckhorn guard Matt Day held the previous scoring record, scoring 47 points in the 2012 final.

The Black Bears advance to the championship game for a second straight year. They lost to Perry County Central in the 2016 final 53-47.
