Prosecutors seeking death penalty for woman charged with killing family

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Prosecutors say plan on seeking the death penalty for a woman accused of killing her family, WKYT reports.

Courtney Taylor said she was not guilty at her arraignment in April.

A Whitley County grand jury handed down an indictment against Taylor in March.

Taylor faces three counts of murder for the deaths of her husband and two daughters and wanton endangerment for raising a gun to police officers.

Kentucky State Police say Taylor shot and killed her husband Larry, and her two teen daughters, Jolie and Jessie on Friday, January 13th.

Police say she also raised a gun at two Whitley County Sheriff's deputies when they arrived on scene and entered the home.
