Funeral arrangements released for man killed in Perry County shooting

PERRY CO., Ky. (WYMT) - 8-10-18 Update:
We now know the funeral arrangements for a man killed earlier this week in a Perry County shooting.

Visitation for Terry Stidham will be Saturday, August 11th from 6-9 p.m. at Maggard's Mountain View Chapel in Hazard. The funeral will be Sunday, August 12th at 1 p.m, also at the chapel.

Stidham, from Busy, was 38 years old.

Police say no arrests have been made in the case.

Kentucky State Police were on the scene of a shooting in Perry County.

The shooting happened on Elm Shoal Branch in the Combs community about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Perry County Coroner was called out to the scene around 3:20 p.m.

We are told one person is dead. Kentucky State Police confirmed to WYMT that Terry Stidham, 38, of Busy was shot and killed.

Troopers believe Stidham was in or near a truck when he was shot. The exact number of gunshots is not currently known.

Police are looking for a person of interest that they believe may have been involved with the shooting.

"We've got detectives and troopers that are actively following other avenues to see," said Kentucky State Police Trooper Jody Sims. "Talking to potential witnesses around the scene to see if they can gather information to start trying to locate a suspect or perpetrator."
