WASHINGTON (AP) - Bitter partisanship is on display at the start of the Senate confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch.
Democrats are angrily condemning Republicans for refusing to act on Barack Obama's nominee last year.
Republican Lindsey Graham, meanwhile, challenged Democrats to say that Gorsuch isn't qualified for the high court. He noted that in the past, justices were confirmed unanimously or with little dissent.
The first day of the hearings will feature opening statements from senators and Gorsuch himself. Questioning will begin on Tuesday.
