HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - It's going to be the same old song and dance for much of the seven-day forecast with rain chances, so buckle in and get ready for a wet ride.
Today and Tomorrow
Stalled out. That's the phrase of the day for the next couple of days. A stationary front has parked itself right above us and with approaching low pressure, it's going to make the next couple of days pretty soggy at times.
Chances for showers and storms will linger through the end of the work and school week. Some of the storms could be a little on the stronger side on Friday. We'll keep you posted. With the cloud cover and the rain, highs both Thursday and Friday should only top out in the upper 70s.
Rain chances will also stick around into the nighttime hours both days as lows drop into the mid-60s. Fog will be an issue late at night and early in the morning.
The silver lining happens this weekend when it looks like those rain chances could go a little more scattered for Saturday and Sunday. Both days have the possibility of sunshine peeking out from behind the clouds and some warmer temperatures because of that.
Look for about a 40% chance on Saturday and a 30% chance on Sunday with highs in the low to mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s.
Rain chances will ramp back up as we head into early next week.
