(WYMT) - After moderate-heavy rainfall across the mountains this morning, things have calmed down. Highs are struggling to reach the 80s in many locations due to cloud cover and rainfall. Another round of showers and storms is possible this evening, but the best chances remain to the north.
Scattered showers will remain in the forecast overnight. Mostly cloudy skies will become partly cloudy by the morning hours Saturday. Lows will drop down into the mid-60s tonight.
A mix of sun and clouds will be the main story for Saturday. If you have any outdoor plans in the mountains Saturday, a 40% chance of rain is in the forecast. While this will not be a washout, a few scattered showers could impact your plans. Be prepared to face a shower or storm tomorrow. Highs will reach the mid-80s.
An approaching cold front will increase rain chances on Sunday. Highs will struggle to reach the upper 70s as cloud cover and rain chances cool things off. Outdoor activity plans on Sunday look to be a bad idea. Please consider moving these to an indoor location as widespread rain will become likely Sunday.
Cooler air will settle in behind the cold front next week as highs drop down into the lower 70s. The busy weather pattern looks to continue as rain and storm chances remain possible through this time next week.
