BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A pastor's wife is accused of stealing money from a Breathitt County clinic.

Susan Combs Pratt, of Hazard, was indicted last week on theft charges. The indictment alleges Pratt stole from Mercy Clinic of Jackson.

The county attorney told WYMT officials with Mercy Clinic called to press charges against Pratt for stealing $1.4 million from the clinic. A grand jury indicted her.

Pratt is charged with theft by failure to make required disposition of property charge.

"It is alleged she came into possession of money and didn't dispose of it like she should have," said Commonwealth's Attorney Darrell Herald.

Pratt is married to Weston Pratt, the pastor of Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Hazard.

When told she's married to a pastor some in the community offered Pratt prayers.

"She needs prayer, I think she has just been misguided," said Robin Spurlock who lives in Breathitt County.

Pratt was released from Three Forks Regional Jail Thursday and scheduled to be arraigned August 11 in Breathitt County Circuit Court.

WYMT called Living Waters and left a message asking for comment. That message has not been returned at this time.
