(WYMT) - High temperatures in the low to mid 80s and hit or miss rain chances will be the trend for much of this week as a frontal boundary stalls out to our south.
Overnight, temperatures will fall into the low to mid 60s under increasing cloud cover.
Rain chances return on Monday as a cold front stalls out to our south and begins to lift northward into the Tennessee Valley Region. Scattered showers and storms are possible on an off throughout the day, but the best chance is in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be in the low 80s.
The hit or miss rain chances continue throughout the day on Tuesday. Once again, the best chance of rain will be in the southern half of our region. Temperatures will top out in the low to mid 80s under partly cloudy skies.
Wednesday looks mostly dry, but with what is left of that front hanging out to our south, a few spotty showers and storms cannot be completely ruled out. Temperatures will climb into the mid 80s under a mix of sun and clouds.
Our rain chances ramp up a little bit for the end of the week as a low pressure system moves in from the west. Scattered showers and storms are possible on and off throughout both Thursday and Friday, and some of that rain could linger into Saturday. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
