LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A man wanted for holding a woman at gunpoint for more than an hour was arrested and charged Wednesday.
The incident happened last Friday.
Logan County Sheriff's Deputies found Robert Earnest just before 2 Wednesday morning at an apartment in Man, according to a news release. Deputies say he tried to jump out of a window but was unsuccessful.
Deputies say Earnest broke into his ex-girlfriend's home last Friday, assaulted a man, then held her at gunpoint for nearly an hour and a half.
A Logan County man is wanted on kidnapping, nighttime burglary and assault charges after deputies say he held a woman at gunpoint for a couple hours over the weekend.
It happened Friday night in the Kistler area of Logan County.
Deputies said the man broke into his ex-girlfriend's house, assaulted a man there by hitting him in the face with a gun and then assaulting the female victim, who he then forced out of the home at gunpoint.
Deputies told our sister station WSAZ the man held the woman at gunpoint at another home for approximately an hour and a half before he let her go.
Robert S. Earnest, 28, of Mallory is the man deputies are looking for. If you know about his whereabouts, you should contact the Logan County Sheriff's Office immediately.
Deputies describe Earnest as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes, 6'0'' tall and approximately 185 pounds.
Deputies said the suspect is known to be armed most of the time.
He is believed to be driving a silver Ford Escape. They also believe he may be traveling with a man named Christopher Daniels.
