LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - Lee Majors, known by many for his role as The Six Million Dollar Man Steve Austin, used to call Bell County home.
The Middlesboro native was a featured guest at the Lexington Comic & Toy Convention this weekend.
In a question and answer session, Majors talked to fans about his current and past work, but also recalled his time growing up in Eastern Kentucky.
"Where I grew up it was just moonshining and coal mining," Majors said. "There's 120 counties in Kentucky and ... 80 of em' were dry at one time and they finally voted it (wet). But you could drive 20 miles over into Tennessee and bring it back. I don't know why they didn't have it to begin with."
Majors no longer lives in Kentucky, but old habits die hard.
"Another thing I wanna say is 'go wildcats,'" Majors said and was met with immediate applause.
