SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - A man is behind bars after a judge says he ran into a courtroom and shouted while dressed in a fireman's uniform.
According to an order signed by Judge Jeffrey Burdette, Justin Puckett ran into the courtroom and disrupted proceedings in Pulaski Circuit Court on Thursday.
Puckett is accused of shouting the phrase "518," advising he was looking for fireman number 518.
While bailiffs removed Puckett, he began to verbally harass an attorney who was seated nearby.
Someone close to the situation told WYMT’s Phil Pendleton that Puckett was upset by a case involving his girlfriend.
Judge Burdette held Puckett in contempt of court for 180 days. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Police say Puckett also took a drug test, but we do not yet know the results.
