(WYMT) - The heat and humidity will be the big story for the remainder of the week. High pressure will provide high temperatures in the low-mid 90s with feel-like temperatures in the upper 90s and even triple digits.
Mostly clear and mild conditions will continue as lows drop down into the mid-upper 60s. Patchy fog will be possible late tonight and into early tomorrow.
Tuesday and Wednesday
Mostly dry and warm conditions continue for the next two days. Higher resolution models want to put some scattered/isolated rain chances across Kentucky, but west of our viewing area. Highs will reach the upper 80s with a few locations hitting 90°. Heat index values will reach the mid-90s on both days.
The warmest days of the week look to be Thursday and Friday. Highs will reach the low-mid 90s with partly cloudy skies. Hot and humid conditions will be present with heat index values in the upper 90s. A few locations could reach the triple digits.
The heat sticks around through the weekend with partly cloudy skies. Highs will stick in the lower 90s with a slight rain chance both Saturday and Sunday. If you have any plans this week, just drink plenty of water!
