(WYMT) - We're gearing up for a very hot and humid week. The heat index will be in the 90s every day with actual temperatures hitting at least 90° near the end of the week.
After a beautiful and relatively mild weekend, Mother Nature is cranking up the heat. Throughout the day, temperatures will warm into the upper 80s with uncomfortable humidity levels. A stray shower can't be ruled out, but most stay dry through the day with minimal cloud cover. The heat index will vary between 93°-95°. Overnight, we'll drop to the upper 60s as more fog develops.
Tuesday's forecast will look and feel very similar to Monday's. Mostly sunny with highs around 87°. Like Monday, most folks remain dry all day and the heat index will reach into the lower 90s.
Southwesterly flow keeps our highs near 90° through the rest of the week. Temperatures warmer than 90° could even be the case Thursday and Friday. Rain chances keep at bay through the rest of the week and our heat index reaches into the upper 90s on Friday.
The heat sticks around all weekend, as well. Rain chances gradually return Saturday. As of now, Saturday and Sunday feature about a 20% chance of rain.
