Deputies remind community to be cautious on roadways

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office responded to one crash before 10 a.m. on Saturday in Stambaugh. One vehicle slid into another on Rt. 1559. No one was injured in the accident.

Deputy Tim Clark says drivers need to slow down and be cautious when traveling on snow-covered roadways.

"It is not too much of an issue if you take your time," Clark said. "You know, drive slow, don't worry about getting there really fast. Take your time."

Clark also wanted to remind drivers that roadways will refreeze after dark. He says drivers need to take that into consideration when traveling.
