Bowen to spend life in prison for three Martin County murders

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A woman convicted of three people's murders in Martin Kentucky will spend her life in prison.

A judge accepted the jury's recommendation of three life sentences without parole for Amanda Bowen.

Tina Goble, Cainie Johnson and Goble's 8-year-old granddaughter Trinity Maynard were found in a burned-out house in Inez in 2014. They were shot and stabbed.

Jack Smith was also convicted in the case. He received three life sentences earlier this month.

Investigators said Bowen and Smith shot and stabbed all three and then set their home on fire.
