Investigators found the body of Jeremiah Childers, 29, of Cumberland, in a ditch off Kentucky 80 on Monday, March 20.
They found nothing physical leading to Childers death. They are now waiting on toxicology reports to determine how he died.
On March 20, Childers' body was found with "some trauma" to his cheek, but officials were unsure if that was related to his death.
"We don't know the cause of death yet, the manner of death, we don't know if it was an accidental lick that he hit himself. We don't know," said Pulaski County Coroner Clyde Strunk.
Strunk said there were indications to make him believe Childers was running away from something.
"I think possibly he was running from something. (He) tried to get under the fence, got part way under, his hands were full of grass and dirt, looked like he was trying to pull himself," said Strunk.
