It's a brisk morning with temperatures in the low 30s and upper 20s. A thin layer of frost is likely to be on your windshield this morning. In addition, there is a wind chill factor. The wind is making temperatures feel like they are in the lower 20s this morning.
The wind chill will be a factor all day. As highs reach to the lower 40s, the "feels like" temperature will be in the mid 30s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. Lows drop to the lower 20s overnight.
Friday's highs struggle to hit 35°. We'll see a mix of sun and clouds Friday. The wind also looks to calm down a bit. Overnight temperatures drop to the lower 20s again.
A clipper system will move through Saturday. This drags a cold front into Eastern Kentucky. Right now, it looks like the best chance of seeing snow is later Saturday afternoon, overnight and briefly Sunday morning. Accumulations don't look very impressive. Overall, it looks like the mountains could see anything from a dusting to half an inch. Isolated spots of 1" are possible. The flakes end by Sunday afternoon.
It will also be brutally cold this weekend. Highs reach to the mid and upper 30s and overnight lows dive to the teens Saturday night.
The cold is here to stay for a bit. Monday's high will be in the mid 40s, but Tuesday's temperatures only make it to the 30s. While Monday looks dry, it looks like we could have another snowy scenario on our hands by the middle of the week. Snow chances stand a 30% Tuesday and Wednesday as of now.
