HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) Officials with Appalachian Regional Healthcare have issued an alert for all hospitals in the system due to the flu outbreak.
The move makes temporary changes to the inpatient hospital visitation policy. They say this will help them be proactive in helping protect the health and well-being of patients and health-care workers during this flu season.
As of now, no one under the age of 14 can visit patient rooms. They also ask you to stay home if you have or experienced any flu-like symptoms.
Only two visitors will be permitted in a patient's room at one time unless otherwise directed. You will also be issued a mask to wear.
