Whether it is in a small town or a big city, news provides an important public service that I look forward to providing.

Growing up I had many aspirations. Professional football player, Firefighter, and well, Lawyer. For me school was never my favorite thing to do. Recess, gym and lunch were the highlights of my day and when i found out law school was a whole separate beast, my desire changed. Journalism provides some of the most vital services for communities far and wide. Whether it is in a small town or a big city, news provides an important public service that I look forward to providing.

I was Student Council President my 8th grade year of Middle School and in High School was elected as a Commencement Speaker. In both speeches I was tasked with telling my fellow classmates to follow their dreams. While telling my classmates what to do i had to make sure to follow my own, here at WYMT I am starting my dream and I cant be more excited to join the "Mountain News Family" and serve the Eastern Kentucky communities.

My parents live in Evansville, Indiana. My mother is a Hospice Nurse and my father is a Director in the Moving and Storage Industry, and I have an older sister.

I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. After about five months as a Tar Heel we moved to my mothers hometown of White Cloud, Michigan. At the age of five we went to the bayou city (Houston, TX). I like to say that Houston is where i learned a lot about life. All my mannerisms my love for History and all things Texas comes from that stay. At the age of 10 we moved to Evansville and that's where my family has been sense.

With both of my parents coming from Michigan that's where a lot of my heart is. I said it today and I'll say it again, there's nothing more beautiful than a Michigan Summer and i stand pat to that.

In my free time I love sports, Football and Hockey are my favorites but I'm beginning to dab in College Basketball too. As for allegiances go, you can catch me rooting on Tom Brady and the Patriots, Hilltopper, and University of Michigan Athletics. On the Ice the Red Wings hold the key to my happiness, and my distress, however as of late I've picked up a fandom for the Predators.

I am a graduate of WKU with a BA in Broadcast News and a Minor in Athletic Coaching.
