I am passionate about serving my community, and I am dedicated to making sure that the people depending on me receive the best weather information possible.
When I was very young, a tornado hit the town we were living in at the time. Although my family was not directly impacted, that experience left me fascinated with the weather. I always wanted to know how the weather was going to affect me and the people around me from that day forward. Years later, it occurred to me that, rather than simply being a weather enthusiast, I could actually forecast the weather for a living.
The more I learned about the weather and what it was like to be a professional meteorologist, the more confident I became that that was the right career choice for me. To this day, I am fascinated by the weather and how powerful it can be, and I love being someone that other people can now turn to for their forecast.
I spent most of my childhood in Owensboro, KY, but my family moved to Taylorsville, KY the summer before I started high school. I graduated from Spencer County High School in 2011 and headed to WKU. While in college, I was a proud member of the WKU Storm Team as well as the WKU AMS/NWA Local Student Chapter. I also participated in WKU’s student run newscast, News Channel 12. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in December of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology and a Minor in Broadcasting.
I joined the Sky Alert Weather team in February of 2016. I am passionate about serving my community, and I am dedicated to making sure that the people depending on me receive the best weather information possible. Outside of weather, I enjoy playing soccer and tennis and spending time with my friends and family. If you see me out and about, feel free to come up and talk because I love meeting new people!
